- We hold technical rehearsals at the Cedarburg
Performing Arts Center to orientate your dancer to the space
they will perform in.
- In order to perform in the production, every
dancer must attend the technical rehearsals.
- At the technical rehearsals, we “block” the
dances, run through the pieces as we would at the performance so
each dancer is familiar with the performance venue, and stage
lights.
- Dancers are required to arrive 10 minutes
early to check in and meet their class.
- Dancers are required to stay the entire time.
- Be prepared for short delays – we may run up
to 15 minutes late.
- Dancers should not wear costumes to the
technical rehearsals. Please dress your child in their classroom
attire (tights, black leotards, and appropriate shoes). Label
everything!
- Non-competition solos, duets, and trios may
rehearse in the time slots prior to and after their class times.
Please talk with your private lesson instructor to select a
time.
- Rehearsals are closed to observation to
minimize distractions
- Competition dances will not rehearse at
Technical rehearsals – they have already danced on stage and are
familiar with their blocking and adapting to stages.
